2 Day Adult Mental Health First Aid
(MHFA England)

Covering:

  • Recognise those that may be experiencing poor mental health and provide them with first-level support and early intervention. 
  • Encourage a person to identify and access sources of professional help and other supports.
  • Practise active listening and empathy. 
  • Have a conversation with improved mental health literacy.
  • Discuss the MHFAider role in depth, including boundaries and confidentiality. 
  • Practise self-care. 
  • MHFAider Support App®.
  • 3 years MHFA England support.

1 Day Adult Mental Health First Aid Champion (MHFA England)

Covering:

  • An understanding of common mental health issues.
  • Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness.
  • Ability to spot signs of mental ill health.
  • Skills to support positive wellbeing.
  • 6-12 people per course.

½ Day refresher training (MHFA England)

Also available for the above courses and is recommended every 3 years to maintain competency and to renew the on-going support.

Covering:

  • Signs, Barriers.
  • Starting a conversation.
  • Work benefits and stressors.
  • Listening and signposting.
  • Workplace wellbeing.

½ Day Adult Mental Health Awareness (MHFA England)

Covering:

  • An understanding of what mental health is and how to challenge stigma.
  • A basic knowledge of some of the common mental health issues.
  • An introduction to looking after your own mental health and maintaining wellbeing.
  • Confidence to support someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
  • Maximum of 20 people per course.

2-hour Awareness in Mental Health

  • What is mental health?
  • Stress.
  • Common mental illnesses.
  • Self-care.

2-hour Trauma Awareness training

Gain an insight into to vast area of psychological trauma.

  • Understand the many factors that can cause trauma.
  • Recognise specific signs and symptoms of trauma related stress.
  • Learn about common theories regarding what’s happening in the brain and body
    when traumatised.
  • Touch on specific treatments for trauma related stress.
  • 6-16 people per course
